Chairman Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said that ‘ Pakistan should stay from any alliance that would spark sectarianism in the country. Speaking on the 34 Nations Saudia Arabia-led Alliance, Imran Khan has said that the debate should be conducted in detail in parliament, and it should be in the best interest of Pakistan as Pakistan has already suffered massively due to sectarian violence.’

It’s absolutely the demand of time and modern changing trends especially in our region. Whatever Imran Khan’s stance is absolutely commendable because currently, Pakistan cannot afford another military allegiance and be part of such alliance. It’s too simple: Pakistan can’t afford it in the present circumstances and Pakistan should focus on restructuring its economy, improving law and order situations and enhancing the living conditions of poor masses by inviting foreign investment, formulating and devising social-welfare reforms which could benefit Pakistan.

Why would Pakistan be getting involved in wars which are fought on sectarianism and majority of Arab countries such as Saudia Arabia with the help of USA and NATO alliance, is vehemently committed to topple regimes such as Yemen, Iraq and Syria by inciting and fuelling regional fictions and rifts within the neighboring Muslim countries and the outcomes of such ‘war games’ are very destructive, ruinous, colossal, and disastrous?

We the Pakistani nation should be very thankful to our army and all stakeholders involved who eventually returned Pakistan from total collapse. All those who are in the favor of ‘joining this alliance‘ are shortsighted and less wise. Why, because the modern world is incessantly improving their economies first, uplift socio-economic development, bring national harmony, internal stability and security situation in the country.

What we have gained in recent past by siding USA in ‘war in terror’ caused colossal damage to Pakistan instead of USA or other embattled nation against terrorists.

In the words of Dalai Lama:

We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.’
